1.
Clean Break 07:33
Dress to scrape another day, holding onto obsolete forms Show how materials arrange, mark out what you see wrong Cool and cynical today, make a joke try to be warm The promises remain the same, stay the script and you can be strong Work so I can fly away, take a break I guess I’ll roll on Bought a wedding gift today, controlled mirages staying foregone Check the prices on the way, the future stays obedient Roll home order takeaway, out before the evening sun Guess I’ll strike out of these binds Where I see diverging lines Because the seas are going to rise Nevermind the warming skies Weeds are overgrown Fill forgotten catacombs Stride towards the border zone Giving life to vacant homes
2.
I’m responsible Stacking fences high, shut out the warming sky Protect lifestyle Flickering box of light, narrowing line of sight We’re citizens Turn away from the world, settle in with your girl We’re venerants Get your foot in the door, save a little more It’s hard, compromise Smattering of the war, budgets are a chore They’re responsible Fixing up your lines, scrape clean all your crimes Can I express my doubt? That you’ve uncovered the truth we block out Lost the distance of time Watch the future fade slowly out of our sight Don’t need to pay our lives For a tiny box that’ll keep us in line Capturing and packaging signs The happy state the market decides While all our greatest minds Are shut away refining useless designs

Winter Light 03:31

Sabot 05:19
There's been no self-sabotage for a while Tie the laces of your wooden shoes There's been no self sabotage for a while (So go and) tie the laces of your wooden shoes
7.
Lines Locked away inside a metal box, coloured dots change Sipping coffee as you sigh, scattered between the stationary white confines Sides Clicking like on a captioned square, force a laugh Shouting facts from a transient stage, bathed in artificial light Swathes of people disgraced, shame turns to rage I’ll pay the mortgage, try the new cafe How do we justify living out our responsible lives Steering discourse towards the median house price Can’t swallow it now Living in the cloud Seal it up and walk out
8.
Grey Horizon 05:37
A thousand worlds survive Breathing surprise You’d swallow no one’s lies Or scripts for your life Set out across grey seas Stroll among the leaves Make tracks over those screens Wandering through leaves Stand outside the door Speaking to all Cross-legged on the floor There’s always more Set out across grey seas Stroll among the leaves Make tracks over those screens Wandering through leaves Watch out for stray sheep Wandering not lost Walk out past borrowed dreams All of us are pleased

about

Eternal Objects was recorded live with minimal overdubs at Tym Guitars in 2017 and continues the guitar-bass-drums explorations of Assemblage with the addition of electronics and contributions from friends Yudhistira Agato (Vague, Jirapah), Joel Saunders (Spirit Bunny, A Country Practice), and James Eyre-Walker (Verity Whisper, Requin). Blending pop structures with improvised noise in the context of a longform work, Eternal Objects seeks out the moments in which the eternal pierces through the mundane frustrations of everyday life in the contemporary urban West.

about

Leavings QLD, Australia

Leavings is a three piece punk band from Brisbane, Australia. Combining driving, aggressive bass and drums, shouted vocals, and wiry guitar with catchy, muscular hooks and cavernous noise and drone-scapes, the group's songs generate a bold, vigorous energy that is both affirming and cathartic. ... more
